School Policy Statement

DRESS CODE: Students are required to wear the school uniform that includes an ID tag.  The school will provide a student with an exact description of clothing and jewelry that is approved.   Uniform costs may vary depending on the number of items and the quality that a student chooses.  The school reserves the right to change the uniform code as needed.

    

TARDINESS: Students who are late or leave school early are considered tardy.  Students who have excessive tardiness are subject to probation and then suspension.
ABSENCES: Excused: Up to 70 hours (personal time) according to the individual students’ contract.  The student must notify the school in a timely way fashion when they will not be in attendance.
Unexcused:  Any hours absent after student has used up personal time, and/or student does not notify school that they will be absent.  All students must attend at least 75% of their classes to be considered passing.

MAKE-UP WORK: Students must take the tests and turn in their work on time.  It is understood that a student who misses a class will do independent study and take the test when scheduled.  A student who does not take the scheduled test will receive a 0% for that exam.  Practical work is due on the scheduled date.  Any work not turned in on or before said date will receive a 0% until the work is turned in.  Each day the work is late, points off will be assessed.

CONDUCT: The school expects that the student will conduct her/himself in an honest, cooperative manner which will not disrupt the learning of others and that each student will, at all times, maintain a good attitude for learning.

TERMINATION: Students may be terminated from training based on the student’s inability to maintain passing grades, good attendance, or acceptable conduct.

CAMPUS SECURITY: Each institution must publish an annual Campus Security Report and list crime statistics that occurred on their campus.  A complete copy of NESHD’s Campus Security Report may be obtained by calling Gary Trottier at (603) 298-5199.  Following is a summary listing the required statistics of NESHD’s Campus Security Report: During the school year January 2, 2006 through December 31, 2006 there were the following on campus: 0 murders, 0 rapes, 0 robberies, 0 aggravated assaults, 0 motor vehicle thefts, and 0 indecent exposures.  During this same period there were no arrests for the following crimes on campus: liquor law violation, drug abuse violation, weapons violation, or sex offenses.  There have been no major violations within the three years previous to this report.  The report also lists the above crimes that were reported for the Rte. 12A, Plainfield Road area.

OTHER RULES AND REGULATIONS: The student will receive a complete set of school policies and rules and regulations on the first day of school during orientation.  Rules and regulations may be changed as necessary and students will be notified of the changes as well as the changes being posted.
